Job Advertisement: T002 / T003 Track Handback Engineer

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced T002 / T003 Track Handback Engineer to join our team in Northwood. This role involves critical track works, including the removal of existing whistle boards and posts, and the installation of new whistle boards and supporting posts within the 10-foot. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient completion of these works, adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

- Remove existing whistle boards and posts as per project specifications.

- Install two new whistle boards and supporting posts within the 10-foot area.

- One whistle board to be installed adjacent to signal NWD G8.

- The second whistle board to be installed at approximately LCS M066-M-SBMA-1270.

- Conduct thorough inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

- Collaborate with the wider engineering team to ensure seamless project execution.

- Maintain accurate documentation and records of work completed.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.

Qualifications

- Valid T002 and T003 certifications.

- Proven experience working on track handback projects, particularly within the London Underground (LUL) network.

- Strong understanding of track engineering principles and safety standards.

- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.

Day-to-Day

- Conduct pre-work inspections and risk assessments to ensure site readiness.

- Execute the removal and installation of whistle boards and posts with precision and efficiency.

- Coordinate with signal engineers and other stakeholders to minimize disruptions.

- Monitor progress and address any on-site challenges promptly.

- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with T002 and T003 standards.

- Provide regular updates to project managers and maintain detailed records of activities.
