Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30. FTC 6 Months
Salary: £26,298 per annum plus benefits & 25 days annual leave
Here at Serco, we're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Absence Administrator Support to join our MyHR Shared Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administration, working with people, and delivering high-quality customer service. Supporting employees and managers across the business, you'll play a key role in ensuring absence records are accurately maintained, queries are resolved efficiently, and attendance management processes run smoothly.
Working within a fast-paced Shared Services environment, you'll manage absence-related administration, maintain employee records using the GoodShape absence management system, support attendance management processes, and provide a professional and responsive service to a wide range of stakeholders. Every interaction matters, and your attention to detail and commitment to excellent service will help ensure colleagues receive the support they need when it matters most.
Day to day you’ll be involved in:
· Provide first-line administrative support for absence management enquiries via email and case management systems.
· Support managers and employees with absence-related queries, escalating complex cases where appropriate.
· Accurately record and maintain sickness absence, family leave and other authorised absences using the GoodShape system and HR databases.
· Ensure all absence records are maintained in accordance with GDPR and company policies.
· Work collaboratively with colleagues across the People Services team to deliver a high-quality customer experience.

What you need to do the role?
Essential:
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
· Good organisational and time-management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information appropriately.
· Understanding of GDPR and data protection requirements.
· Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
· Previous experience in an HR, People Services, Shared Services or administrative environment.
Desirable:
· Experience using GoodShape or similar absence management systems.
· Knowledge of HR policies and procedures relating to attendance and absence management.
