Job title: Science Technician Contract type: Permanent Hours: 37 per week Working week: Term time + INSET Salary: PATH 4. £26,429 FTE. £22,732 prorated Location: Downend School About the role Working under the direction of the Senior Science Technician you will provide technical and administrative support to the teaching staff.Main duties and responsibilities include:Maintain adequate supplies of materials across the department and assist with the ordering of supplies.Perform routine cleaning, day-to-day maintenance and direct functional checks on equipment to ensure it is ready for useStore all apparatus safely and securely.Adhere strictly to Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH procedures for the safe handling, treatment and disposal of hazardous substances and used materials.Complete basic record-keeping, administrative duties and assist teachers in setting up or delivering practical learning activities.Promote and maintain the safety, welfare and safeguarding of all students in line with school and pathway trust policies.About youWe are looking for someone with a good standard of general education who wants to join a friendly, collaborative team.
