Asset Officer
Location: Glasgow
Contract: Temporary - minimum 3 months
Working Pattern: Full-time, hybrid working available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced
Asset Officer to join a well-established Housing Association in Glasgow on a temporary basis for a
minimum of 3 months to start ASAP.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing, property or maintenance professional to play a key role in delivering a high-quality repairs and asset management service, while supporting the effective management and investment of the Association's housing stock.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of
reactive repairs, voids, planned and cyclical maintenance, ensuring works are completed efficiently, to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Key responsibilities will include:
Instructing, monitoring and controlling
repairs and void works, ensuring KPIs and service standards are met
Undertaking
property inspections, stock condition surveys, risk assessments and technical inspections
Monitoring contractors and checking the quality and completion of works
Supporting the delivery of
planned and cyclical maintenance programmes
Assisting with the development and implementation of
capital investment programmes
Preparing tender and quotation documentation and supporting
procurement exercises
Providing technical support around
tenant safety and compliance, including gas, fire, asbestos and damp & mould
Monitoring expenditure, processing invoices and supporting effective
budget and financial control
Overseeing landscaping and estate maintenance contracts
Dealing with property-related enquiries, complaints, insurance claims, alterations and adaptations
Maintaining accurate asset, repairs and compliance records
Supporting compliance with relevant legislation, policies and the
Scottish Social Housing Charter
Providing support and supervision to Asset and Compliance Assistants when required
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong background in
social housing, property, maintenance or asset management, with good technical knowledge and the ability to manage a varied workload.
You will ideally have:
Experience working within a
Housing Association or Local Authority
Strong knowledge of
repairs, maintenance, construction and building processes
Experience managing and monitoring
contractors and repair works
Experience carrying out property inspections and/or stock condition surveys
Knowledge of
health & safety and housing compliance requirements
