Duties as a Nursery Room Lead:

Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the nursery room
Deliver high-quality learning opportunities in line with the EYFS Framework
Support and mentor Early Years Practitioners and support staff
Plan engaging activities that meet the needs of all learners
Monitor, assess, and record children's progress
Create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive
Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external professionals
Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and health & safety standards are maintained at all times

Ideal Nursery Room Lead:

Level 3 Childcare/Education Diploma Qualification or equivalent
Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
Evidence of EYFS qualifications or training (Level 3-5 Diploma)
Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Sound understanding of how to use and adapt a range of teaching styles within Early Years education
Proven ability to personalise learning and provide opportunities for all children to achieve their potential
Experience leading or supporting within an Early Years setting
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
