Summary
Van Delivery Driver
Location: Launceston, Cornwall, South West England
Salary: £28,322 per annum plus £500 bonus every quater.
Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5H per week
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and punctual Van Delivery Driver to join our team in Launceston, Cornwall. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers across the South West England region. This role requires excellent time management, a strong focus on customer service, and adherence to all relevant health and safety and road traffic regulations.
Job Duties
• Deliver products to approximately 15–20 customers per day.
• Create daily picking lists to ensure correct order fulfilment.
• Load and unload the delivery vehicle at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Complete light administrative tasks, such as Vehicle Defect Forms and delivery-related Risk Assessments.
• Ensure that deliveries are carried out in a safe, professional, and customer-focused manner.
• Adhere to company policies, health and safety standards, and all relevant driving regulations.
Requirements:
• Full UK Driving Licence with C1 endorsement (allowing you to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes).
• Indate CPC.
• Over the age of 25 due to insurance purposes.
• Maximum of 6 points due to insurance purposes.
Experience
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the South West England region and local road networks is beneficial.
Knowledge and Skills
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and best driving practises.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure correct deliveries and documentation.
• Good communication skills to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Physical capability to load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Basic mechanical understanding to conduct simple vehicle checks and report any faults.
