Summary

As IPC Matron, you will play a key role in supporting both Trusts to deliver safe, effective, and evidencebased infection prevention and control. Working closely with the Deputy DIPC, IPC Drs, and wider clinical teams, you will: Provide visible, professional leadership across both organisations. Responsible for the Operational Management of the IPC Team. Lead and influence improvements in clinical practice, patient pathways, and environmental standards. Offer expert advice during outbreaks, incidents, and quality reviews. Champion best practice, education, and engagement with staff, patients, and visitors. Contribute to harmonising IPC policies, resources, and communication across the group model. This role will involve regular crosssite working, with flexibility to support teams at both PHU and IWT.
