Summary
HGV Technician £25ph
Location: Essex
Pay: £25.00 per hour (£55,250 per year) + Overtime at 1.5x
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Alternate early and late shifts
Week 1: Monday-Friday 06:00-15:00
Week 2: Monday-Friday 13:00-22:00
Additional: Alternate Saturday mornings paid at overtime rate

HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, LGV Fitter, HGV Fitter, or Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop in Maidstone.

The successful
HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, LGV Fitter, HGV Fitter, or Commercial Vehicle Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and diagnosing faults on a range of heavy commercial vehicles while working to manufacturer and DVSA standards.

The Role
As an
HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, LGV Fitter, HGV Fitter, or Commercial Vehicle Technician, you will:
• Carry out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on HGVs
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete MOT preparation and inspections to DVSA standards
• Maintain and repair heavy commercial vehicles to a high standard
• Complete accurate job cards and repair documentation
• Work efficiently within a busy workshop environment
• Maintain excellent health and safety standards
The Requirements
To be considered for this
HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, LGV Fitter, HGV Fitter, or Commercial Vehicle Technician role, you will need:
• Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Proven experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Ability to complete repairs and maintenance to a high standard
• Own tools
• Full UK driving licence
• HGV or PSV licence desirable but not essential
• IRTEC qualification desirable but not essential
