Salary: £64,290 - £64,290

Hours: 35 per week, 52 weeks per year

Liberton High School sits within the new, state of the art, Liberton Community Campus, which opened in August 2026. It is a non-denominational secondary school with roll of approximately 900 pupils, working in partnership with our associated primaries of Craigour Park, Gilmerton, Liberton and Prestonfield to serve our local community in South East Edinburgh.

  • We have a rising roll which is projected to peak at approximately 1100 within the next three years. The leadership team comprises of the Head Teacher, three Depute Head Teachers, and a Business Manager.

  • We have a complement of 65 teaching staff and 26 support staff. Our vision is that 'Everyone Matters' and we show this every day through our values of being Ready, Respectful and Responsible. Our dedicated staff team is committed to supporting our young people to achieve their potential. We are a forward-thinking school community and committed to developing and empowering colleagues as leaders of learning.

  • Our Integrated Pupil Support Team includes Support for Learning, Enhanced Support Provision, our Wellbeing Hub, and our House Teams.

  • We are looking for an inspiring and passionate Pupil Support Leader to join our innovative and dedicated team. 

  • This role has a range of responsibilities, including:

    • Pupil Support Caseload of all S1-S4 pupils in Forth House

    • S1-S4 GIRFEC/CP/LAAC supports

    • Monitoring and follow-up on Attendance for caseload

    • Coursing

    • Tracking S1-S4 Referrals

    • S1-S4 attainment overview and interventions

    • PSE Curriculum lead

    This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

    Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
