The Best Connection Staines are currently recruiting
Experienced Van Drivers for a well-established food delivery company based in Uxbridge.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers looking for
ongoing work, weekly pay, overtime opportunities and full training and support.
Every successful candidate will receive a full week of paid training alongside an experienced permanent member of staff, ensuring you have the confidence and knowledge needed before working independently.
Pay Rates
- £14.50 - £14.85 per hour (depending on experience)
- Weekly pay
- Overtime available
- Minimum 8 hours paid per shift
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Saturday
- 6 shifts per week
- Approximately 48 hours per week
- Start times from 04:00am
- 8-12 hour shifts
- 30-minute unpaid break
The Role
As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for completing deliveries across Central London and the South East, ensuring customers receive their orders safely, accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete between 10-25 deliveries per day.
- Deliver chilled, frozen, fresh and ambient food products to a variety of customers.
- Drive refrigerated vehicles safely and professionally.
- Load and check stock to ensure all orders are accurate before departure.
- Follow planned delivery routes while maintaining excellent timekeeping.
- Complete delivery paperwork and records accurately.
- Maintain a clean, presentable and roadworthy vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
- Build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues.
What We're Looking For
- Full UK Category B Driving Licence.
- No more than 3 penalty points.
- Previous van driving experience.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Professional, reliable and punctual attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
