Fixed-Term Maternity Cover | Monday to Friday | Colchester, Clacton & Harwich

Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant (HCA) or Care Worker looking for an opportunity to develop your skills within a specialist clinical service?

Our friendly Podiatry Service is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.

You will work alongside our podiatrists, supporting patients in clinic and assisting with delegated clinical tasks, including redressing and wound care. You will also have the opportunity to support our team during home visits, providing care to patients in their own homes.

The role will involve working across our clinics inColchester, Clacton and Harwich, as well as supporting home visits.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are therefore essential for this role.

About the role

Our service supports patients of all ages with a wide range of foot health needs. These include, but are not limited to:

· Diabetes-related foot problems

· Vascular conditions

· Wounds and wound care

· Musculoskeletal conditions

· Ingrowing toenails

· A variety of other foot and lower-limb conditions

You will play an important role in supporting our podiatrists to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care to our patients.

About you

We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience as an HCA, Healthcare Support Worker or Care Worker who is confident working with patients and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You should be:

· Caring, compassionate and patient-focused

· Reliable and well organised

· Comfortable working independently as well as within a team

· Willing to undertake delegated clinical duties following appropriate training and supervision

· Able to communicate effectively with patients, carers and colleagues

· Keen to develop your knowledge and experience within podiatry and wound care
