Summary

The post holder will support the management and delivery of the Trust's Estates services, ensuring that estate infrastructure, maintenance activities and capital projects are delivered in compliance with statutory requirements, health and safety legislation, Trust policies and organisational objectives. They will work closely with internal stakeholders and external contractors to maintain safe, effective and sustainable environments for patients, staff and visitors. Key responsibilities include overseeing contractor performance and ensuring all works are delivered to the required standards, codes of practice, Health Technical Memoranda and legislative requirements. The post holder will act as a Responsible Person, Deputy Responsible Person or Informed Client for designated estates compliance areas, such as water, ventilation, electrical systems, asbestos, gas installations, pressure systems or other specialist engineering services, ensuring the Trust remains legally compliant. The role supports the development and implementation of estates initiatives, maintenance programmes and capital projects, including the preparation of specifications, obtaining quotations and monitoring project delivery. The post holder will also maintain estates information systems, analyse performance data, coordinate statutory returns and compliance reporting, and contribute to the monitoring of key estates performance indicators. In addition, the post holder will support the Trust's sustainability and energy management objectives, undertake estate compliance assessments and audits, manage procurement of estates-related goods and services, and participate in on-call arrangements as required. Strong stakeholder engagement is essential, requiring effective communication and collaboration with Trust staff, service managers, contractors and external partners to ensure estates services meet operational needs and deliver value for money. The post holder will promote a positive team culture, maintain high standards of personal conduct and professional performance, and undertake any other duties reasonably required within the scope and responsibility of the role. The postholder must have a UK driving licence and their own car. Right to Work in the UK: This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
