Summary

This role is an exciting new opportunity to lead and drive the transformation of data intelligence within EPUT. As a new senior leadership post focused on the strategic development and sustainability of data intelligence, governance and informatics, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to design, imbed and maintain new operating models for data in pursuit of the delivery of our data strategy.

EPUT has embarked upon a first of type unified electronic patient record programme, bringing together Mental health, Community services and Acute care in partnership with Mid and South Essex Foundation trust. This role will play a pivotal role in all aspects of data intelligence, reporting, assurance and quality, shaping the future of EPUT as a data insight driven trust.

The Deputy Director of Data Intelligence and Informatics is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction and oversight of the Trust's data, intelligence, informatics, information governance, records management and electronic patient record functions.

The postholder will lead the development of a data-driven culture that enables evidence-based decision-making, supports operational performance, improves clinical outcomes and ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The role will ensure that data, information and digital capabilities are effectively aligned to organisational priorities and support the delivery of the Trust's strategic objectives.

The postholder will act as a senior leader within the Digital, Data and Technology function and will work collaboratively with executive directors, clinical leaders, operational managers and system partners to maximise the value of information assets across the organisation.
