Summary

J is a happy 16 year old boy who has a diagnosis of

Hydrocephalus (managed with shunts), he is registered blind

and is severely sight impaired, Macular Dystrophy,

development delay and Epilepsy (although has been seizure

free for several years).

J enjoys listening to music, playing games and watching

YouTube on his tablet, he also enjoys going out into the

community with his family to the park and other activities.

J shares his home with cats & dogs.

Hours and rate of

pay hours

75 hours available to use in school holidays and weekends @

£13 per hour.

DBS/Checks

Confirmation of DBS check

Right to Work and references will be needed.

What you would

be doing…

Support will take place in the home environment initially until

you get to know J and his family with a view to getting out and

about in the community building on independence skills.

Some prompting to use the toilet and washing his hands will be

needed, J may occasionally need support to clean himself

properly.
