Summary

Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and physically fit Timber Yard Operatives to join a busy manufacturing and distribution company based in Corby.

This role offers a highly desirable, consistent Monday-to-Friday daytime schedule. It is a varied position combining heavy manual lifting with machine operation.

Salary & BenefitsPay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Location: Corby.

Hours: 08:00 AM – 17:00 PM Working Days: Monday to Friday (No weekends)

Environment: Outdoor timber yard and covered workshop areas

Key Responsibilities

Heavy Lifting: Manually handling, lifting, and stacking heavy timber products and building materials safely around the yard.

Machine Operation: Operating timber processing machinery and tools (training provided where required).

Order Picking: Selecting correct timber lengths and products to fulfill customer orders.

Yard Maintenance: Keeping the outdoor yard clean, safe, and organised to prevent hazards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Physical Fitness: Capability to comfortably manage heavy lifting and repetitive manual handling throughout a 9-hour shift.

Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Skills: Experience with machine operation or power tools is highly advantageous, though not essential.

Safety Mindset: Strong awareness of health and safety practices, especially when moving large materials.
