Willingness to travel to Dove's head office in Pontefract for managers' meetings and for interview

About the role

This is a rare opportunity to open and register a brand-new 4-bed EBD home (mixed genders) in Doncaster. As this home operates as a standalone site, further out from our other Dove homes, we're looking for a manager with strong, hands-on leadership experience who can set the tone and standards from the very start. Experience of opening and registering a new children's home is highly desirable.

What we're looking for

• A strong Deputy Manager ready for the next step, or an experienced Registered Manager, with at least 2-3 years' experience in a senior management role within children's residential care

• A track record of Good or Outstanding Ofsted reports - if applying as a Deputy Manager, please include reports from homes you contributed to under your Registered Manager

• Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) as a minimum, and hold or have started your Level 5 in Leadership and Management

• Experience working within, or running, a children's residential home at a senior management level

• Willingness to be open and transparent about any safeguarding concerns, disciplinaries or failed fit person assessments

• Salary expectations in line with the advertised package and your level of experience

• Able to commute reliably to the home
