Find a SEND Role Where You Can Really Get to Know the Pupil
The best 1:1 support develops over time. You learn how a pupil communicates, what helps them stay engaged, when they need encouragement and when it's better to give them the space to try independently.
LT Support is a preferred supplier to a number of school trusts across our local area, and we're looking for experienced Learning Support Assistants for ongoing long-term opportunities in Romford.
Roles are available throughout the year across both mainstream primary and specialist SEN schools, predominantly providing 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs.
What Could You Be Supporting?
Depending on the placement, you may work with pupils with:
Autism (ASD) • ADHD • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Your role could include:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 classroom support.
- Helping pupils access lessons and activities.
- Adapting support around individual learning and communication needs.
- Following EHCP targets and individual support strategies.
- Supporting communication, engagement and emotional regulation.
- Encouraging confidence and greater independence.
- Working closely with teachers and SEND professionals.
- Providing additional physical or personal support where required by the individual role.
What We're Looking For
Due to the specialist nature of these placements, you'll need relevant experience supporting pupils within a school environment.
We're looking for people who are patient, dependable and adaptable, with the ability to build positive relationships while recognising that every pupil needs something different. Successful candidates will be subject to Enhanced DBS and referencing checks.
Long-Term Opportunities Throughout the Year
Because we work closely with local school trusts, new SEND requirements arise throughout the academic year.
If you're an experienced Learning Support Assistant, SEND Teaching Assistant or 1:1 LSA in Romford looking for long-term work, we'd like to hear from you.
Apply today with your CV to register with LT Support and be considered for suitable current and upcoming opportunities.
LT Support is committed to equal opportunities and welcomes applications from candidates with the appropriate skills and experience. Applications are considered solely on merit.
