Summary

Yard Operative / Industrial Cleaner

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative / Industrial Cleaner to work at a busy recycling plant in Blackburn.

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:00-16:00 | Friday, 07:00-15:00

This is a hands-on role working predominantly outdoors, so you will need to be comfortable working in all weather conditions and in a busy industrial environment.

The successful candidate will carry out general yard duties and industrial cleaning, while also assisting with a variety of other tasks around the site. You will be working around machinery and moving equipment, so good awareness of your surroundings and a strong commitment to health and safety are essential.

The Role

Carrying out general yard duties and industrial cleaning

Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe

Working safely around machinery and site equipment

Following all health and safety procedures and site rules

Assisting with moisture testing and material sampling

Recording and working with data where required

Supporting the wider team with various tasks around the recycling plant

Working outdoors in all weather conditions

Carrying out other duties as required

About You

A good work ethic and positive attitude

Reliable and willing to get stuck in

Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Good awareness of your surroundings when working around machinery

Able to follow health and safety procedures

Willing to learn and try new things

Able to work well as part of a team

Comfortable working with data and completing basic records

Previous experience is not essential, as training can be provided
