As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of electrical building services designs across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working alongside experienced engineers and wider multidisciplinary teams, you will be involved throughout the project lifecycle from concept design through to completion.Key responsibilities include:

Producing electrical building services designs, calculations, specifications and technical drawings.

Assisting with the delivery of projects across a range of sectors.

Using industry-standard software including Amtech, Dialux/Relux and Revit.

Supporting the selection of electrical systems, plant and equipment.

Working closely with colleagues across other engineering disciplines.

Attending design and project meetings with clients and project stakeholders.

Supporting sustainability initiatives and low-carbon design solutions.

Monitoring your own project delivery against programme, quality and budget requirements.

Undertaking site visits and inspections where required.

Continuing your professional development and keeping up to date with emerging technologies and industry developments.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you should have:

A degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.

At least 12 months' experience within a building services design environment following qualification.

Experience using software such as Microsoft Office, Dialux/Relux, Amtech and Revit.

Knowledge of current Building Regulations and British Standards.

An understanding of sustainable building design principles and renewable technologies.

Familiarity with BREEAM requirements.

Membership of, or aspirations towards membership of, a professional institution such as CIBSE or IET.

Any exposure to healthcare projects and HTM guidance would be beneficial but is not essential.
