Summary
Foundry Operative
Working Hours:
Monday – Wednesday: 06:00 – 16:30
Thursday: 06:00 – 15:30
Friday: Non-working day
The Role
We are looking for a
Foundry Operative to join our team. Previous foundry experience is
not essential, as full training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be physically fit, practical, and comfortable working in a
dirty and industrial environment. You should have experience working with heavy materials and be confident using a range of
hand and power tools.
The role will involve dressing and finishing castings, including
grinding, linishing and removing excess material to achieve the required finish.
Key Responsibilities
•
Dressing and finishing metal castings.
•
Grinding and linishing castings using hand and power tools.
•
Removing excess metal and imperfections from castings.
•
Lifting and moving heavy items safely.
•
Working in a hot, noisy and dirty industrial environment.
•
Following health & safety procedures at all times.
•
Maintaining a clean and safe working area.
•
Working as part of a team to meet production requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
•
Previous foundry experience is
not required.
•
Experience working in a
manual, industrial or manufacturing environment is desirable.
•
Comfortable lifting and handling heavy items.
•
Experience using
hand and power tools.
•
Practical and hands-on approach to work.
•
Physically fit and able to carry out repetitive manual tasks.
•
Comfortable working in a dirty and demanding environment.
•
Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
•
Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Hours
•
Monday – Wednesday: 06:00 – 16:30
•
Thursday: 06:00 – 15:30
•
Friday: Off
