Summary
The Social Media Manager will establish, manage and develop the company’s social media presence, creating engaging content and delivering online marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, customer engagement and e-commerce sales, particularly through eBay. The role will connect social media activity with product promotions, attracting relevant customers to the company’s eBay store and converting interest into purchases.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and manage Bargain Hub's social media accounts, maintaining consistent branding, accurate business information.
• Develop a social media strategy and content calendar aligned with the store's product range (phone accessories, luggage, toys, homeware, etc), seasonal promotions and sales objectives.
• Create and publish engaging product photos, videos and reels showcasing products and the mobile phone repair service to drive purchases.
• Run online marketing campaigns directing customers to eBay listings and increasing footfall to the Sittingbourne store.
• Coordinate social media promotions with eBay offers, keeping pricing and messaging consistent across channels.
• Improve eBay listing titles, descriptions and images using customer feedback and campaign insights.
• Plan and manage paid social advertising within budget, tracking traffic, conversions and ROI.
• Monitor customer engagement, competitor activity and online trends to identify opportunities for customer acquisition and repeat purchases.
Skills and Experience:
• Experience managing business social media accounts and creating digital content.
• Understanding of eBay selling and how online marketing supports e-commerce sales.
• Ability to create effective written, photographic and video content.
• Experience with paid advertising, social media analytics and campaign reporting.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
