Summary
The HMR Community Therapy Service is constantly evolving to meet the needs of the population of Heywood Middleton and Rochdale.
As team Lead, the post holder will have clinical, professional and managerial responsibility for the community therapy service including clinical and staff governance issues. The post holder is responsible for maximising service provision, including the delivery of safe and effective clinical practice, ensuring that all local and national guidelines and targets are adhered to and met.
Working as Team leader, the band 7 will be part of the therapy and wider multidisciplinary team. The post holder will use advanced therapeutic skills in a variety of areas to provide direct high quality and effective therapeutic care and support to patients and provide day to day
operational management and leadership to the team.
Within the scope of the role, the post holder will independently plan, complete advanced assessment and deliver interventions. They will be responsible for independently managing their own patient caseload, demonstrating clinical autonomy, advanced clinical reasoning,
prioritisation and manage competing demands.
The post holder will initiate and drive service development, demonstrate self-development and will be responsible for supervision of others and delegate appropriate tasks to registered and non-registered staff. They will be responsible for providing specialist therapy advice
within the trust and to other health care professionals.
Main line management duties overseeing daily service operations, managing staff, and ensuring quality care delivery. These responsibilities include setting objectives, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and supporting staff development.
