We have an exciting opportunity to join the Insolvency Service as a AIOps & Automation Lead within our Corporate and Operational Services Team. This role sits within the Technology & Data team, within Corporate & Operations Services. As AIOps & Automation Lead you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and managing the Agency’s AIOps strategy to deliver predictive, automated, and intelligent operations across cloud and infrastructure environments.

You will work with colleagues across Technology, finance, and operational teams to introduce tools and processes that spot problems early, respond to issues automatically, and reduce manual effort. This helps the organisation meet its service standards, run more efficiently, and manage its IT systems more proactively.

The role ensures observability, telemetry, and automated response processes are in place to support business SLAs, improve operational efficiency, and enable proactive management of IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • lead deployment, tuning, and ongoing management of AIOps platform
  • implement observability, monitoring, and alerting across cloud and infrastructure environments
  • develop predictive analytics to anticipate incidents, capacity constraints, and performance issues
  • automate incident response, performance management, and routine operational tasks

Collaboration & Integration

  • work with Deputy Head and Architecture teams to integrate automation into enterprise systems
  • partner with FinOps to provide actionable insights for cost-efficient infrastructure use
  • collaborate with outsourced BAU teams to ensure smooth operational handover and knowledge transfer

Reporting & Governance

  • maintain dashboards, metrics, and documentation for leadership and governance purposes
  • track KPIs to measure automation coverage, predictive alerting effectiveness, and operational efficiency improvements
