Summary

Research & Research Involvement Work as part of a team to support the safe conducting of research in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines. Collaborate with research team members across the PCN and practice to ensure all requirements of the Wider Care Settings (WCS) Funding Model are met. Conduct population health searches and utilise population health intelligence to identify suitable cohorts of potential recruits for current research studies and targeted interventions. Actively contribute to research studies by engaging and supporting participants, assisting in data collection, and completing study tasks under the guidance of the research team. Administrative Support & Data Management Provide comprehensive administrative support for research projects and PCN activities, including scheduling meetings/clinics, booking participants, taking structured minutes, and coordinating study timelines. Extract, analyse, and report data to support study delivery, project work, and PCN requirements (such as QOF, IIF, and DES). Maintain accurate and organised documentation of research activities and study logistics. Support the research team in completing data queries and adverse event reports as needed. Personalised Care & Patient Coordination Act as a centralised point of contact for the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and patients in coordinating healthcare needs and research participation. Utilise decision aids and personalised care and support plans (PCSP) to assist patients in shared decision-making conversations. Provide coordination and navigation for people and their carers across health, research, and care services, working closely with social prescribing link workers, health and wellbeing coaches, and primary care professionals. Assist patients in accessing self-management education, training, peer support, or other interventions that support their health and wellbeing. Communication & Collaboration Facilitate effective, professional communication across all stakeholders, utilising digital skills (Microsoft Office suite) and non-verbal/verbal skills during meetings and events. Engage with websites, social media, and patient representative groups to share news of research studies and raise awareness of PCN initiatives. Participate in meetings and community events to support research promotion and forge new collaborations that attract research studies to local populations. Compliance & Safety Monitor and maintain compliance with study protocols, regulatory guidelines, data protection principles, and GDPR. Support data-related activities, including data monitoring checks (e.g., temperature monitoring), policy adherence, data integrity, and security throughout the research process.
