Summary
We have the opportunity for a full-time Lead Emergency Practitioner to join our amazing team of Enhanced and Advanced level Practitioners within the Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) Directorate at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT).
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated NMC/HCPC Registered Nurse, Paramedic or Physiotherapist to lead our team of Emergency Practitioner's and work alongside our multidisciplinary team within the Urgent Treatment Care (UTC) at Peterborough City Hospital (PCH) and the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) at Stamford and Rutland Hospital.
Please note:
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Lead Emergency Practitioner (EP) role. The post requires the successful applicant to work the full range of shift patterns: 08:00–19:00, 08:30–17:30, 11:00–22:00, and 13:00–00:00.
We welcome applications from individuals currently undertaking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) training programme. However, if appointed, you would be required to withdraw from your ACP trainee programme, as unfortunately we are unable to support a trainee ACP in this role).
Please note only candidates who meet ALL the essential criteria are eligible for interview.
The post holder will already practice at an enhanced or advanced level, working within a multidisciplinary team supporting the Consultant led
Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) directorate.
The post holder will be able to manage undifferentiated and undiagnosed patients presenting to their area(s) of work within a defined scope of
practice.
This duel clinical and leadership focussed role will result in the post holder providing exemplary patient-centred and evidenced based care to
patients. The post holder will be part of the UTC leadership team and work collaboratively with senior leads, managers and stakeholders for ongoing high level service provision, staff welfare and management.
The post holder will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and clinical attributes, enabling him/her/them to provide expert clinical, professional, managerial and leadership support to other clinicians and staff within their area of work.
