We are seeking a qualified and experienced Workshop Controller to join our reputable client’s established dealership in Southend, Essex. - OTE of up to £55,000 with achievable performance bonuses

- Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm

- Saturdays on a 1-in-3 rota, 8:30 am to 1:00 pm

Duties of the Workshop Controller:

- Oversee a team of 19 technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity

- Manage workshop operations to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction

- Organise daily work schedules and allocate tasks to technicians

- Ensure workshop targets and KPIs are achieved or exceeded

- Liaise with reception and service advisors to provide accurate customer updates and technical explanations

- Maintain high standards of workshop organisation, safety, and quality

Requirements of the Workshop Controller:

- Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or in a similar supervisory role within a dealership or automotive workshop

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent organisational and communication skills

- Automotive technical knowledge and understanding of workshop processes

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
