We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Chef Manager to lead our catering operation and create an exceptional food experience for our customers.
As a Chef Manager with ISS UK, you’ll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day catering operation, setting and maintaining high standards while managing the service in line with agreed budgets, targets and client expectations.
You’ll lead and support an experienced catering team, bringing your passion for great food, positive leadership and excellent customer service to everything you do. You’ll work closely with your client and students to build strong, positive relationships and ensure the catering service consistently meets their needs.
The Role
Take overall management responsibility for the catering operation, ensuring a high-quality, efficient and customer-focused service.
Lead, motivate and support your team, creating a positive and collaborative working environment.
Prepare and deliver delicious, high-quality food that meets customer expectations.
Oversee food preparation, cooking and meal service, ensuring deadlines are met and service is prompt and efficient.
Set and maintain high standards across food quality, presentation, hygiene and cleanliness.
Ensure all Health & Safety, food safety and accident prevention procedures are followed, maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
Manage catering resources effectively and operate within agreed budgets and targets.
About You
Experience as a Catering Manager, Chef Manager or in a similar supervisory catering role.
Alternatively, experience as a Catering Assistant or Chef with the potential and ambition to progress into management.
Strong food preparation and cooking skills, with an advanced understanding of school catering.
A genuine passion for producing great-tasting, high-quality food.
A strong understanding of food hygiene and Health & Safety principles, including accident prevention.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and clients.
A supportive, helpful and positive approach to teamwork.
Excellent timekeeping, reliability and a strong work ethic.
