What you will do:

Install, configure, support and monitor client, server, cloud and endpoint technologies across a multi-site environment.

Investigate incidents and service requests, carry out structured testing, identify defects or recurring issues and provide clear escalation through to resolution.

Use monitoring, logging, service data and customer feedback to understand performance, identify trends and improve reliability and customer experience.

Contribute to technical projects involving build, test, deployment, automation, documentation and transition into operational support.

Maintain accurate technical documentation, deployment guidance, standard operating procedures, configuration records and support information.

Work with the IT Service Centre Manager, Service Delivery Manager, project managers, the IT Service Desk and colleagues across IT Services.

Apply IT service management, information security, quality and governance requirements while delivering work within agreed service levels.

What you will bring:

Practical experience of technical support, manual testing, DevOps, cloud engineering or equivalent hands-on technology projects.

Knowledge of operating systems, networking fundamentals, cloud infrastructure, containers, scripting, infrastructure as code, pipelines, monitoring or centralised logging.

Experience designing test cases, undertaking regression or API testing, reporting defects and verifying successful technical changes.

An analytical approach to operational information, performance measures and evidence-based problem-solving.

A disciplined approach to security, access controls, credential management, documentation, quality checking and process adherence.

Clear stakeholder communication, customer focus, collaboration, adaptability and attention to detail.

Experience with Microsoft endpoint, client or server management technologies is desirable. Transferable knowledge from AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, Linux, Python, Bash, SQL, Prometheus, Grafana or ELK will also be relevant.
