Harbour Healthcare are recruiting for a Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, compliance, and facilities management across two of our care homes – The Granby and Granby Rose.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional looking to take the next step into a multi-site management role. You will be responsible for ensuring our homes remain safe, compliant, well-maintained, and fully operational, providing a high-quality environment for our residents, visitors, and colleagues.
You will oversee planned and reactive maintenance, manage statutory compliance, coordinate contractors, support Home Managers, and lead on facilities-related projects across your allocated homes. You will also participate in an emergency on-call rota for urgent maintenance issues.
Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications
Essential
Previous experience in facilities, property or maintenance management.
Strong knowledge of general building maintenance including plumbing, joinery, decorating and basic electrical works.
Good understanding of statutory compliance and Health & Safety legislation.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to prioritise workload across multiple sites.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development.
Desirable
Experience within a care home, healthcare or similar environment.
Knowledge of fire safety, water hygiene and building compliance.
Experience managing contractors and maintenance budgets.
Main Responsibilities
Oversee the maintenance, compliance and day-to-day facilities management across three care homes.
Ensure all statutory inspections, servicing schedules and legal documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, managing external contractors where required.
Carry out regular site inspections, identifying and resolving maintenance or safety issues.
Support Home Managers with facilities projects, compliance and regulatory requirements.
Monitor maintenance budgets and ensure works are completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Participate in an emergency on-call rota for urgent maintenance issues.
