The Jefferiss Wing at St Mary’s Hospital is on the lookout for a proactive, empathetic, and non-judgmental Healthcare Assistant to join our forward-thinking nursing team within the Integrated Sexual Health Service.

What We Are Looking For:

Excellent communicator (written & spoken)

Confident using your initiative in a clinical setting

Experience in phlebotomy or sexual health screening? Great! If not, we’ll train you.

Above all – empathetic, inclusive, and passionate about patient care

• To work across both clinics in Jefferiss Wing – The Sexual Health clinic and The HIV Outpatient Department (The Wharfside Clinic)

• To carry out care and treatment tasks, delegated from professionally qualified staff, requiring a range of technical ability.

• Ensure the clinic environment is safe and clean

• Fulfil any clerical duties

• To supervise less experienced Nursing Assistants

• To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide support for any area specified by the co-ordinating nurse on duty.
