Summary

Main Duties: Management of Clinical Education and Training provision across the organisation; this includes includes the planning, delivery and evaluation of professional education and training activities, training programmes, continuing professional development, induction and skills training for the clinical workforce. Provide specialist knowledge and advice and guidance for assurance and delivery of clinical and training programmes, and oversight of competency reporting. Work with the Nursing Education Lead, clinical tutors, speciality leads, external trainers and library services to monitor, evaluate and develop high quality, evidence based clinical education. Implement and monitor all relevant legislation and policies and/or procedures as identified by the organisation into the appropriate training and development programmes. Ensuring the delivery and appropriate development of quality assured, competency based clinical development programmes and assessment. Manage clinical development programmes, ensuring full engagement with all the relevant divisions, identifying the clinical competence that is required to ensure safe and effective patient care. Ensure data collection and reporting processes are in place for quality assurance and governance.
