TeacherActive works with a host of strong, welcoming and supportive schools across Nottingham and the surrounding areas. We are looking for passionate and dependable Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day, short-term and long-term classroom support.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant seeking flexible work that fits around other commitments. You could be supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, working with individuals, small groups or whole classes.
Responsibilities may include:
• Supporting pupils with classroom activities
• Delivering individual and small-group interventions
• Providing 1:1 support where required
• Supporting pupils with additional or special educational needs
• Helping to maintain an inclusive and positive classroom
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff
• Encouraging pupil's confidence, independence and engagement
• Following the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
• Have experience supporting the UK Curriculum
• Be passionate about helping children achieve their potential
• Have a patient, caring and inclusive approach
• Communicate confidently with pupils and school staff
• Be adaptable, reliable and able to work across different settings
• Have SEND experience, although this is desirable rather than essential
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
• Understand safeguarding, Benedecit's Law and the Prevent Duty, or be willing to complete relevant CPD training
