Tesco Pharmacy Counter Assistants pay starts at £13.70 per hour, rising to £14.97 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

You will be responsible for

Providing friendly, natural service and getting to know your customers.

Providing flexible support across the Pharmacy and wider store, including helping customers with their healthcare needs, offering guidance on over‑the‑counter products, supporting prescription queries, and delivering a friendly, professional service at the pharmacy counter.

Making customer focused decisions and completing key store routines. 

Understanding how your role supports great service, strong sales, waste reduction and overall store performance.

You will need

A passion for delivering great service, greeting every customer with a smile, and serving them with pride while helping them find the right products and solutions.

The ability to build rapport quickly so customers leave feeling confident, supported, and reassured, having had a great experience at the Pharmacy counter.

The initiative to make the right decisions for customers, whether you’re supporting them with over-the-counter product guidance, helping with prescription queries, or knowing when to refer them to the pharmacist for expert advice.

A positive, team focused approach, communicating openly, working well with colleagues across the store, having fun, and celebrating success together.
