🚐 School Minibus Driver Required - Start ASAP!

East Sussex Skills Academy, Bexhill-on-Sea is looking for a reliable, caring and professional Minibus Driver to join our team as soon as possible. If you enjoy driving, working with young people and making a positive difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transport for our students to and from school and other approved locations. The role is vital in helping our learners access education and supporting their wellbeing through safe daily journeys.

Working Hours

- 30 hours per week

- Term Time Only (38 weeks per year)

- Monday to Friday:

- 6:00am - 9:00am

- 3:00pm - 6:00pm

- Permanent position

From £17,574 per annum

Essential Requirements

- Full UK driving licence with D1 entitlement (or eligibility under current legislation)

- Good driving record

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to work independently and use sound judgement

- Willingness to undertake MiDAS training and other relevant training

Desirable

- Experience working in a school or youth setting

- Experience transporting children or vulnerable individuals

- First Aid or MiDAS qualification

- Experience supporting young people with additional needs

East Sussex Skills Academy, located in Bexhill, recently joined London South East Academies Trust. As an alternative provision, the school supports up to 94 pupils in Years 9-11 who are unable to access mainstream education.

ESSA offers a broad range of vocational pathways. Pupils receive high quality teaching in maths, English and science alongside expert professional tuition in Construction multi-trades, Hairdressing, Barbering & Beauty, Automotive, Hospitality & Catering, Sports & Fitness and Arts & Creativity.

We are committed to helping our young people to re-engage with learning and develop the skills they need for successful progression into further education, apprenticeships and employment.
