Summary

We are currently seeking a talented Classic Car Technician to join a reputable family-run classic car restoration workshop based in Alton, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled Classic Car Technician passionate about vintage vehicles and meticulous craftsmanship.

Our client offers a supportive working environment where each vehicle is restored to the highest standards, preserving automotive history through bespoke craftsmanship. If you have proven experience in vintage car restoration or automotive engineering, particularly with pre-1980s classics, this Classic Car Technician role provides an ideal platform to advance your career.

Duties:

- Carefully dismantle vintage cars, handling each component with precision to avoid damage

- Reassemble vehicles meticulously, ensuring flawless fitment and quality standards

- Apply engineering skills to reinforce or design structural brackets and components as a Classic Car Technician

- Collaborate with a passionate team focused on high-quality restorations

- Maintain detailed records of restoration processes and materials used

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Classic Car Restorer or Automotive Engineer with hands-on dismantling and reassembly skills

- Strong understanding of automotive engineering principles relevant to vintage vehicles

- Ability to work delicately to prevent damage during restoration tasks

- Enthusiasm for classic cars, demonstrated by prior experience or personal interest

- Relevant vocational or engineering qualifications in automotive technology preferred

- Commitment to quality work, valuing precision over speed

- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team

Nice to Have Skills:

- Experience designing brackets or structural reinforcements for vintage cars

- Knowledge of period-specific materials and restoration techniques
