Summary
To engage proactively in the Divisions Clinical Governance processes, data quality and information management systems including reporting and investigation of incidents and complaints and implementation of relevant action plans. To work collaboratively with the Medical lead for the Cath Lab and Cardiology, Divisional Director of Nursing and Governance (DDNG), Specialist Medicine Head of Nursing and Senior Matron, Senior Radiographers and Head of Cardiac Physiology taking responsibility for ensuring the efficient operational management of the service and that strategic aims are met. To be expected to have specialist knowledge of cardiology, radiology and its working practices. This includes being responsible for the training and development of junior team members and work with and support colleagues of the management team with driving the service forward. Maintain a safe working environment, in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards acting as lead for NATSIPS / LOCSIPS within the Cath Labs. To lead on radiation safety ensuring all staff have up to date IRMER and IRR training and to be responsible for audit of IRMER and IRR and record keeping in line with Radiation Safety Committee guidance. To represent the Cardiac Cath Lab and promote service development within the SEL Cardiac Network
