St Aldhelm’s Church SchoolChelynch Park, Doulting, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 4PL1:1 Home Tutor & Teaching Assistant21.5 Hours a weekBWMAT Grade C SCP 5-6 £25,583 - £25,989 FTE£12,715.00 - £12,917.00 Actual SalaryFixed term until 31/08/2027We are looking for a talented teaching assistant to support a child with neurodiverse needs with his learning both at home and at school and support reintegration back to school.We are looking for someone who:Ideally has experience working with children with neurodiverse needs.Will be working broadly in KS2 but with dedicated hours supporting a specific child working on some aspects of a KS1 curriculum.Can form strong relationships with adults and children.Someone who is creative and can adapt to suit interests.Is able and happy to travel between the child's home and school (approx. 10 miles) to deliver home tutoring.Your own car/transport is essential.We offer:A kind and caring village school environment, with supportive parents and eager children.An established and supportive staff team.Reimbursement plan for use of own vehicle.Possible continuation of position based on EHCP review.Candidates are invited to contact the school and arrange to visit and meet with the school leadership team.
