Position Title: Level 2 Teaching AssistantProfile: 1.2 Learning SupportTemporary fixed term contract until 31.8.2027Weekly hours: 18G01 SCP 03-04 £25,614-£26,01618 hours for 38 weeks is £10,443.80Employment Start Date: 12.10.2026The governors of St Mary's Catholic Primary School are looking to appoint one Level 2 teaching assistant to work alongside others and under the guidance of class teachers and the headteacher. Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate in a positive, encouraging manner are essential qualities. The successful candidates will play a key part in assisting in the delivery of an exciting curriculum for 18 hours per week.The ideal candidate will:• Have experience of being a teaching assistant within a primary setting• Have worked with children with specific learning, physical and social needs.• Be a good team player with excellent interpersonal skills• Have high expectations of pupil behaviour• Contribute to the ethos of a friendly, happy school, in which the personal development and well-being of the children is given the highest priority• Be supportive of our Catholic ethos, mission and valuesCandidates must complete the CES application form (not the Flintshire form) and read the Notes for Applicants.Closing Date: 9am on Friday 25th September 2026Interview Date: Thursday 1st October 2026As this post will result in you having substantial contact with children, and/or vulnerable adults the successful applicant will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Services check.
