Summary

Setting and working to clear targets and objectives that demonstrate a detailed understanding of internal and external NHS strategies and reflect external stakeholder changing requirements for the range of services we deliver. Working collaboratively with others, building relationships, communicating, and negotiating at the highest levels to identify opportunities and enhance and deliver strategic business plans through development of proposals which promote synergy and maximise efficiency. These relationships will include the Department of Health and Social Care, other government departments, NHSE&I, NHSX and other relevant partners. Developing and transforming processes and systems Directorate wide, to ensure effective and efficient solutions are delivered that complement each service and that are progressive and meet user needs. Effectively leading the Primary Care Services Change Programme being responsible for the overall programme and the complex landscape, making decisions regarding the prioritisation of the delivery of the individual projects alongside Digital, Insight and Technology Leads; resolving resource conflicts and escalating where appropriate. Alongside the relevant Head of Service, lead the delivery of client-initiated change. Facilitate the change process for the Head of Service and help manage the client/NHSBSA change interface. Ensuring that benefits carry through from business case to project to operational business budget management. Providing expert strategic guidance and leadership in respect of all policy implementation within Primary Care Services by collecting system requirements and proposing recommendations that satisfy stakeholders. Ensuring that NHSBSA Primary Care Services Business Rules are regularly revised and that changes to systems are made in line with developments in regulations and which allow us to meet our compliance obligations. Contributing to ensuring that the strategy of Primary Care Services is aligned to relevant NHS direction through continually monitoring NHS and Government policy landscapes to identify and recommend potential future developments to the Director of Primary Care Services. Actively engage with, listen to and seek views of staff and key stakeholders to influence and improve service delivery. Planning the delivery of service objectives including identifying interdependencies, managing risks, modelling impacts on the wider organisation and Primary Care Services, determining resource requirements and building contingency where necessary. Motivating, training and developing a specialist team in Primary Care Services that deliver change and service improvement in a challenging environment. Deputising for Director of Primary Care Services at relevant Boards/meetings.
