Summary

Fleet Manager

Location: Bracknell or Thame

Contract: Temporary - Ongoing

Salary/Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced

Fleet Manager to join our client on a temporary, ongoing basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the fleet, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, well maintained and available when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation and administration of the company fleet.

  • Oversee vehicle servicing, maintenance, repairs, inspections and MOTs.

  • Ensure all vehicles remain compliant with relevant legislation and company policies.

  • Monitor fleet performance, availability and operational costs.

  • Manage relationships with garages, suppliers, leasing companies and other external providers.

  • Maintain accurate fleet records and documentation.

  • Coordinate vehicle allocation, replacements and off-road vehicles.

  • Deal with vehicle breakdowns, accidents and other fleet-related issues.

  • Monitor driver compliance and ensure vehicles are being used appropriately.

  • Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on fleet performance and issues.

About You

  • Previous Fleet Manager experience is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance and compliance.

  • Excellent organisational and administration skills.

  • Confident managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.

  • Strong communication and relationship-management skills.

  • Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of fleet-related issues.

  • Experience within construction, property services, facilities management or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.
