Summary
We are looking for a reliable and competent Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our busy Whitehaven team!
Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Operative
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday (08:00-16:00)
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Whitehaven, Cumbria
What You'll Be Doing:
As part of your daily duties, you'll be responsible for a variety of general maintenance and gardening tasks, including:
- Cleaning and maintaining signs and benches to ensure they remain presentable and safe
- Mowing and caring for grassed areas to keep outdoor spaces tidy and welcoming
- Planting flowers and maintaining landscaped areas to enhance the environment
- Removing fly tipping and other litter to maintain cleanliness and safety
- Maintaining hedges and grass areas
- Assisting with general repairs and upkeep as required
What We're Looking For:
- Some experience in maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred, but candidates with limited experience will also be considered and given full training
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Driving license required
Working Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
- £13.08 per hour
