TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming 3-form entry primary school in Newport that is continuing to grow and develop. The school promotes a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential through engaging learning opportunities and strong pastoral support.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time Early Years Teaching Assistant from September on a long-term basis. The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will work within the Early Years Foundation Phase, supporting pupils across the classroom, including children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities and promote positive outcomes.
The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will have:
• A Level 3 Childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred
• Experience supporting children within an Early Years setting
• Experience working with children with ALN
• A good understanding of child development and the Curriculum for Wales Foundation Phase
• A positive, proactive and caring approach to supporting children's learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
