Summary

A Vacancy at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual to join the Children's Speech and Language Therapy service and be part of Derbyshire Community Health Services. The post is with the team based in Clay Cross at Clay Cross Hospital.

The post is for 22.5 hours a week, typically worked as 3 days of 7.5 hours Monday-Friday.

We are a large and dynamic Speech and Language Therapy service of around 100 staff working across all service areas in  Derbyshire.

As a member of our team you will be working in a service with a well established reputation for delivering a patient centred approach.

The post will provide support to  children with speech, language and communication needs.

You will be delivering programmes of intervention to children in early years settings, schools, patient homes and through telehealth.

You will be supervised by SLTs, with additional support from a Team Leader and opportunities for peer support from colleagues across Bands 3 to 7

If you can demonstrate good communication skills, have the ability to deliver competent, evidence based clinical care we want to hear from you.

As a clinical employee it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behaviour and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way.

Previous experience of working with children with speech, language and communication needs is essential.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.
