Summary

This senior clinical and leadership role within CERT provides highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation, intervention and consultation for people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties, including psychosis, trauma, personality difficulties and co-existing needs. You will lead psychologically informed practice across the service, supporting recovery-focused and trauma-informed care. Key responsibilities include delivering specialist assessments, evidence-based therapies and positive risk management; providing consultation and psychological leadership to multidisciplinary teams; leading care planning and pathway development; and working collaboratively with service users, carers and partner agencies. You will provide clinical supervision, line management and professional leadership to psychologists, trainees and psychological therapists, while promoting reflective practice and developing the psychological skills of the wider workforce. The role includes contributing to service development, quality improvement, benchmarking, governance, audit, service redesign and cultural change. You will also lead and support research, service evaluation, outcome monitoring and innovation projects to improve quality and patient outcomes. The post holder will maintain high standards of safeguarding, information governance and professional practice in line with HCPC and Trust requirements
