Their interests include playing pool and snooker, visiting social clubs, shopping, walking in the woods, spending time at the beach, swimming, and attending local groups. One gentleman particularly enjoys being outdoors and likes to get out every day, so this role would suit someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and being outside in all seasons.

No two days are the same. You'll support people to achieve their goals, maintain their independence, and take part in things that are important to them. This could include supporting with daily living skills, meal preparation, household tasks, shopping, managing appointments, medication, and developing new experiences and opportunities.

The role includes some personal care support, delivered in a respectful and person-centred way. You'll also receive training to support with medication administration, including insulin, so you'll need to be comfortable learning and undertaking health related tasks.

Shifts - Flexibility is important as shifts vary according to the people we support and their week. Shifts include: early shifts (starting between 8am and 10am), late shifts (typically 2:30pm to 10pm), long days and sleep-in shifts. You will be expected to work alternate weekends.

About you

You will be:

- Able to build positive relationships and communicate effectively.

- Motivated to encourage independence, choice and control.

- Adaptable, reliable, and able to respond positively to changing needs.

- Confident working as part of a team, while also being comfortable lone working when required.

- Comfortable learning how to administer insulin following full training.

A full UK driving licence is essential, and you must be confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential. What matters most is your values, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping people live the life they choose.
