We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Primary School in the Wigan area.
This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. You will be supporting pupils with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and interventions
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and resilience
Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals to support pupil progress
