Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Respiratory, Surgery and Critical Care Therapies team at Barnet Hospital as a Therapy Support Worker.

We are looking for an individual who demonstrates an energetic, enthusiastic and flexible approach to their work. You must have good organisational skills and be motivated to provide excellent care to patients to help them achieve their maximum functional ability. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team are essential for this position.

The successful applicant will join our experienced therapy team, working alongside occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech & language therapists and dietitians, as well as the wider multidisciplinary team.

As a band 3 Therapy Support Worker, your role will include:

Assisting Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists with joint rehabilitation sessions

Assisting and progressing exercise programmes

Supporting functional tasks + activities to promote independence with personal care (washing / dressing / cooking / feeding)

Mobility rehabilitation

Maintaining therapy resources and equipment

Collecting information from patients and families

Communicating effectively within the multidisciplinary team

Administration tasks
