Summary

We are looking for reliable and hardworking

Foundry Operatives to join our Client's manufacturing team. Working as part of a skilled production environment, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacture of high-quality castings while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping. This will be on a three shift pattern, 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 and 22:00-06:00 Monday to Friday.

Rates:

£15.79 per hour, up to £27.08 with OT

Key Responsibilities:

Pouring molten metal into spinning dies in accordance with established procedures.

Monitor mould and molten steel temperatures as directed by the Chargehand.

Complete the manufacture of castings and safely remove finished castings from dies using hand tools and appropriate manual handling techniques.

Prepare refractory materials for use in the manufacturing process.

Set up moulds, cups and ladles as instructed by the Chargehand prior to tube manufacture.

Brush out and spray production moulds to maintain quality and production standards.

Carry out grinding of moulds and tubes as required.

Stamp tubes accurately to ensure full product traceability.

Take test samples as directed by the Chargehand.

Safely lift and sling moulds, tubes and containers using overhead cranes.

Maintain high standards of

5S housekeeping and complete Operator PPM activities.

Work safely at all times and comply fully with the company's

health, safety, environmental and quality standards and procedures.

Skills & Experience:

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Previous experience in a

manufacturing or factory environment.

The ability to follow detailed instructions, processes and procedures accurately.

A flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

A strong understanding of

health & safety, environmental and quality requirements.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Pendant crane, lifting and slinging experience would be advantageous.

foundry experience would be advantageous.
