Summary

Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and young people referred to the service. Formulate and implement treatment and care plans using evidence-based approaches. Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions to children, young people, carers, families and groups. Develop, implement and review Positive Behaviour Support plans. Undertake Functional Behaviour Assessments and behavioural formulations. Provide specialist PBS consultation, advice and guidance to professionals. Assess and manage clinical and safeguarding risks. Act as Care Coordinator where appropriate. Contribute to CPA reviews and multidisciplinary care planning. Support transitions to Adult Mental Health Services where required. Undertake medication monitoring and psychoeducation clinics alongside medical colleagues. Communicate clinical information sensitively to children, families and professionals. Support the management of challenging behaviour presentations. Participate in CAMHS duty and urgent response systems.
