Age UK Cambridgeshire & Peterborough is an independent charitable organisation which exists to improve the quality of life for older people in the county.

We are looking for an Assistant Organiser to join our friendly and dedicated team at our Day Centre in Peterborough, where we provide a warm, stimulating, and enjoyable environment for older people, helping them to maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

About the Role:

As an Assistant Organiser, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the centre, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere where our service users can socialise, stay active, and enjoy meaningful activities.

Working alongside the Organiser and our team of volunteers, you will help plan and deliver engaging programmes that promote:

• Social interaction and companionship

• Cognitive stimulation through games, activities, and discussions

• Physical activity suited to individual abilities

• Health, wellbeing, and independence

• Enjoyment of a nutritious hot meal in a friendly setting

Interviews will be planned for week commencing October 5th, 2026

The successful candidate will undergo a DBS check at an Enhanced level.
